Flashback to Seattle 2020, winding down from what some referred to as the “Summer Of Love” I wrote this song which detailed many of the problems experienced during the time. Protests, CHOP, Unemployment, Defunding police, mask wars and of course the major problem of homelessness which continues to be a unsolved problem nearly 2 years after I recorded this. And some scenes in this video were filmed inside the infamous City Hall Park which was closed last year due to excessive violence.
My new song “Solve The Problem” is basically a raggamuffin musical recap of all the situations we have experienced during this “Summer Of Love” in Seattle. From the Chop/Chaz takeover, Unemployment issues, Protests and the ever growing Homeless problem with people living in tents all across the streets. The artwork featured is a collage of pics I took over the summer that are relevant to the song’s lyrics. This release date coincides with Bandcamp Friday and will be available for purchase on Bandcamp with all proceeds donated to Bread Of Life homeless shelter in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood. Yes, last nite was another great chat on CHAT BOUT! with the topic being EMERGENCY. Alot of the points in the chat references what many of us are going through right now in WA state and others. Things like Unemployment Insurance, possible closure of Seattle music venues, homeless and Face masks. This chat also features a BIG Reggae track from Italian Reggae artist TIZLA named “Emergency” which was the inspiration. And altho this chat is delivered inna light hearted style, the points are valid that we are living inna state of emergency. So everybody keep your head UPP and stay afloat out there!
